Greetings all,

With the recent release of 3.6 I was wondering, when will 3.7
released, and what has been is added to it?
I was somewhat surprised to see Make Wordpress Core blog is already using 3.7:

The version in trunk (the mainline development) is currently 3.7-alpha
(as you can see in the footer, make/core is on "Version
3.7-alpha-24954"). This is updated from the development version roughly
once a day. Until 3.7 is nearing release candidate, the About page will
still show the information for 3.6.

In other words, 3.7-alpha is the development version at the moment, it
is nowhere near release stage, and the about screen is not accurate.

Pretty sure 3.7 is long long ways off, my guess would be about january
since the 3.6 release was tagged for "early 2013" and was like 5-6 months
off.

According to Matt's state of the word, 3.7 and 3.8 will be worked on at the same time. If I remember, 3.7 will drop in October and 3.8 in December. You can watch his keynote and the discussion afterward at wordpress.tv
