Got this on my local server (and some similar errors before).

Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in G:\Data1\ApacheWebRoot\awp\wp-includes\update.php on line 259

In general, this warning will be shown because the connection to
api.wordpress.org times out on a localhost.

You can normally ignore it, but it's worth verifying that outgoing HTTPS
connections can work.

I have this plugin which should hopefully let you know if there's any
issues:

Actually I've seen it happen on my VPS a couple of times, but I'm not
worried too much about it - I assume it's a temporary issue that happens
occasionally,

Thanks.

Just wanted the development team to know as in my opinion errors and
warnings should be catched.
